STRATEGY & PLANNING

When companies prepare their strategic plans they often rely on a ‘SWOT Analysis’. Worse, their SWOT contains dozens of detailed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. These planners then come up with a long list of ‘strategies’ - but, due to all that detail in their SWOT, they will completely fail to see the wood for the trees and their ‘strategies’ will just be a bunch of tactics. We say you should do the exact opposite: develop a corporate strategic plan. Here you will make very few decisions, but very big ones – decisions that will change the very structure of your organisation, not just little bits of it. Why must you do that? Because the world around you is changing like never before. You’ll have to do the same: make massive corporate changes, some taking many years. To do this you will need to adopt a formal, structured planning procedure. Do you happen to know a strict, systematic process to handle all this?

We do: it’s called ‘The Argenti SMS’!
